Affiliate Disclosure

This site earns money through partner relationships. We tell you about them before any call to action, not hidden in the small print at the bottom of the page.

Our commercial model

Founder Finances is free to use. There is no paywall, no premium subscription, and no charge to use the calculators. Instead, we generate revenue through affiliate partnerships with selected financial providers.

If you click a partner link, open an account, or are approved for a credit facility using our codes, we may receive a commission payment from the provider. This commission comes out of the provider's marketing budget. It does not change what you pay, the rates you are offered, or the rewards you receive.

Our current partners

We currently have active commercial partnerships with:

1. Tide (business banking services) under partner code REFER200.

2. Capital on Tap (business credit card) under partner code SETTINGUP.

We only partner with providers whose products we have researched and believe are genuinely useful for specific segments of our audience.

What we will not do

Commercial arrangements never buy editorial conclusions. A partner cannot pay us to say their product is flawless.

  • We do not describe a product as universally 'best'. We specify exactly who it is for, and who should avoid it.
  • We do not hide fees, eligibility limits, or risks in order to drive more affiliate clicks.
  • We do not promote credit products on pages about financial distress, insolvency, or debt problems. Those pages suppress commercial modules entirely.
  • We do not pass your calculator answers, email address, or browsing data to partners or advertising platforms.

Capital on Tap specifically

Capital on Tap is a credit product. We are a partner and introducer, not the lender. Approval is subject to status and eligibility checks conducted entirely by Capital on Tap. Capital on Tap currently requires a personal guarantee from a director or majority shareholder, which means that person can become personally liable for the business's outstanding debt if it cannot repay it. Interest may apply if a balance is not cleared in full each month. Borrowing money costs money.
