Business Credit Card Suitability Guide

An educational walkthrough. Not an approval prediction, and not advice.

Answer the questions and this panel explains what applies to your situation — eligibility structure, personal guarantee, interest risk and the alternatives. It cannot tell you whether you would be approved, and it is not advice.

Interpret the suitability result conservatively

This assessment is designed to identify whether a business credit card may fit the stated use and repayment pattern. It does not predict approval, credit score, limit, affordability or the terms a provider will offer.

A result is not a reason to borrow to cover a persistent shortfall. Check that the business can clear the balance under realistic receipts, understand any personal guarantee and compare the total cost with a debit-card or retained-cash alternative.

  • If the inputs indicate carried debt, arrears, distress or an emergency-fund shortfall, no credit-product application route is shown.
  • Provider fees, rates, rewards and eligibility can change; read current terms before acting.
  • Use the cashback-versus-interest calculator when a reward is part of the proposed decision.

Assumptions this tool makes

  • No credit check, credit score or approval prediction is performed or implied.
  • Answers indicating financial distress, inability to repay or use of credit as income suppress every product call to action.
  • Nothing here is a personal recommendation. Borrowing money costs money.

The formulas used

  • structural_eligibility = business_structure AND director_status AND trading_status
  • suitability_flags = purpose AND repayment_plan AND credit_concerns
  • commercial_module_shown = structurally_eligible AND repayment_plan_credible AND NOT distress_signal

Estimates only. This is a planning aid, not regulated financial advice, tax advice or a personal recommendation. Figures are rounded deliberately to avoid false precision.
